The Augsburg Men’s Track and Field team took a short jog over to Macalester College to compete at the annual indoor MIAC championship. Many Auggies turned in personal bests, including a new MIAC record set by Emmanuel Egbujor in the 60-meter dash with a stellar time of 6.81 seconds, breaking the record previously held by former teammate Undre Smith-Brewer.
As for the rest of the competitors, there were numerous bright spots on the day. Miracle Adebanjo ran a personal best time in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.29, which placed him in 11th on the day. Adebenjo also finished the 60-meter dash on the heels of teammate Egbujor with a personal best time of 7.24 seconds. Isaac Tade finished the 800-meter race with a personal best time of 1:59.83 to put himself in 7th place. Patrick Deng (above right) ran a season best 9.02 in the 60-meter hurdles.
In the field events for the Auggies stood Gunnar Melin. In the weight throw, Melin placed fifth with a distance of 16.50 meters.
