Jerid McDonald

My name is Jerid and I’ve always had a passion for creating. As a child I constantly doodled in sketchbooks and had Play-Doh nearby. In school I started learning programming and how to create something using code. Eventually I started learning to paint; canvases, miniatures for board games and watercolor postcards. Three years ago I taught myself to knit so I could attend “Knit and Stitch” meetups advertised at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Since then I’ve spent a year in New York where I’ve worked at a local yarn store, selling yarn and knitting store samples for display. My favorite thing to do is put on a good audio book and knit for hours somewhere comfortable. My favorite things to knit are socks, since they work up pretty quickly and I can work on them in the background while doing something else like attending a lecture. I’m more than happy to help anyone who wants to learn.
