New to the Echo Sports Section this year, the What to Watch For article will give a one-sentence rundown of all the Auggie Sports that are happening for the upcoming week. Go support your Auggies and show your pride.
Women’s Soccer: After they face Northwestern at home on Sept. 20 and play their make-up game at St. Scholastica on Sunday, the women’s soccer team will host the nationally ranked St. Thomas on Wednesday to open their MIAC competition during homecoming week.
Men’s Golf: Having already played in three tournaments to start the year, the Men’s Golf team will travel to Sauk Centre to participate in the Saint John’s Fall Invitational on Sept. 21 and 22.
Women’s Golf: Also having played in three tournaments, the women’s golf team’s next competition will be the MIAC Championships on Sept. 28 – 30 .
Cross Country: Both teams will compete at the St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday in their first full races of the year.
Volleyball: Looking to continue their hot start, the volleyball team will open MIAC play by hosting a tough Gustavus Adolphus team on Sept. 20, followed by their homecoming matchup against Carleton on the following Wednesday.
Football: The boys of fall will travel to Concordia-Moorhead on Sept. 21 and then face St. Olaf in their homecoming game on Sept. 28.
Men’s Soccer: After opening MIAC, the boys play at Macalester earlier in the week, the men’s soccer team will host St. Thomas on Sept. 21 for their MIAC home opener.
