During Augsburg’s spring break, students were notified of two incidents that occurred on campus: a report of a stolen laptop in Einstein’s Cafe and an ongoing investigation of gunshots fired near Kennedy Center.
“She Went To War” is a show currently being per- formed at the Guthrie Theater’s Dowling Studio. The play is the fourth Guthrie production to be part of The Telling Project, a nationwide theatrical program that uses the artistic lens of theater to help veterans share their stories. This play focuses on the real-life stories of four female veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The sentiments expressed above about the American Choral Directors’ Association (ACDA) conference fit nicely with my own interpretation of what it was like. Held in the Minneapolis Convention Center from March 8 -11, with group performances at nearby Central Lutheran Church, Westminster Presbyterian Church, and Orchestra Hall, the conference was four days filled with some of the best vocal groups, vocal pedagogues and music educators around the globe.
