Cross country finishes season

The Augsburg Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams finished their respective seasons in Northfield at the NCAA Central Regional hosted by Carleton College.     

Ryan Moore finished first for the Auggie men with a time of 28:13.6 with first year phenom Isaac Tade following stride for stride to a time of 28:14.1 over 8,000 meters. Benjamin Erickson, William McLeer and Greg Miller rounded out the scoring five. The Augsburg Men finished 25th out of 29 teams and did not have any national qualifiers. Loras College emerged as the men’s championship scoring just 53 points.   

For the women’s 6,000 meter race, Blair Stewig (25:29.5) and Zoe Huebner (26:37.7) were the top two finishers for Augsburg. They were followed by Taylor Christen (26:46.5). Following up the top three were Cait Olson, Jasmine Gonzalez, Ali

son Mangan and Kassandra Diaz. The host team Carleton finished the day with the lowest point total to claim the team title. Looking to next season, the men graduate two seniors and the women one. Both teams return runners who set personal bests at the Regional meet.
