Hobbies to Consider Picking up This Year

Throughout the ongoing pandemic, you must continue to take care of yourself. Below are a couple of different ways to stay actively engaged throughout your everyday activities. I recommend keeping a strict routine on these activities as they will serve as productive tools whenever you feel overwhelmed with school or work.
- Listen to music: When I turn on my music, I go from being tired to becoming rejuvenated and excited to complete my work. If you’re planning on studying, I recommend listening to instrumental music. If you’re struggling with any sudden accident, then listen to songs that resonate with your problem. Listen to the lyrics carefully and choose songs that speak to you. It’s a specific form of meditation that only you and music share.
- Learn a new language: Learning a new language can open up tons of new doors and illuminate hundreds of opportunities. Recently, I signed up for Babbel. It is an online learning language platform that allows you to learn a variety of languages. I’m currently using it to teach myself French. I recommend checking it out, but there are tons of other language learning options!
- Play Video Games: Sometimes it’s okay to stop what you’re doing and let yourself play a video game. I recommend playing “The Last of Us” if you have a PlayStation 3 or 4. You can download a lot of fun online games on your phone. My recommendations would be Among Us and Minecraft. The gaming community is booming right now, so I would recommend investing your time in games you might be interested in that can hopefully help you cope with your struggles.
