Artist Spotlight: Amya Moore

I’ve enjoyed creating artwork since I was a child, whether it was through any form of art that piqued my interest and allowed me to develop and bring to life any idea that I had envisioned.
It wasn’t until the summer of 2021 that I realized I wanted to share my art with others and help bring their visions to life through my work too; and ever since then, as I began to see my artwork on people’s bodies, walls, and even business cards, I knew this is what I wanted to do: make other people happy through my creations.
As an Indigenous Black woman, I want to make a difference in my community and showcase the abilities that our people have that are often overlooked-and I hope that through my work, I will be able to do so one day.
